Do you want to market your services to a broader client base and take advantage of a quality training program in the process?

The Cedar Rapids Area Chamber will offer a new service this year called the Chamber Academy – Taking Care of Business. The Academy will offer members the chance to teach, as well as to learn, with sessions focused on topics designed to help members grow their businesses.

The Academy will be a partnership between the Cedar Rapids Area Chamber and Chamber members who are professional consultants and trainers in a variety of fields. Academy workshops and courses will be designed to enhance workplace skills and make businesses more productive.

Sessions will be led by Chamber members with specialized knowledge and experience in the topic being covered. Academy courses will be carefully planned to cover a variety of topics that meet the needs of our members. These could include topics such as: sales and marketing; business and financial strategies; workforce and legal issues; customer service; information technology; growth strategies; diversity issues; and management and leadership skills.

Courses will run from two hours to several days, depending on the topic. The Chamber will charge a nominal fee for each course, and pre-registration is required.
