Technology Association of Iowa & Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance Announce 2017 Cedar Rapids TechBrew AM Series
Jan 23, 2017
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – January 23, 2017 – The Technology Association of Iowa (TAI), the statewide voice for Iowa’s technology industry, announced today a new TechBrew AM morning event series in Cedar Rapids beginning in February hosted in collaboration with the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance.
TechBrews are informal networking events for entrepreneurs, technologists, business people and funders. TechBrews in the Corridor have existed for several years rotating monthly between Iowa City and Cedar Rapids. In this new model, Iowa City TechBrews events will continue in the evenings with Cedar Rapids TechBrews moving to the morning with coffee and personal interviews with Eastern Iowa CIOs.
At TechBrew AM events, TAI President, Brian Waller conducts casual interviews with CIOs who share their favorite music for TAI’s “Vinyl Tuesdays,” discuss their career path, and share what’s most important for the Iowa technology community moving forward.
“TechBrew AM has been a wild success in Central Iowa due in large part to the curiosity of who and what top technology professionals in the state do and the challenges they face,” said Waller. “We are excited to profile six technology executives in Eastern Iowa who make a great impact on the state’s economy.”
The first Cedar Rapids TechBrew AM is on Tuesday, February 7 at 7:30 a.m. at the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance and is sponsored by Involta. TAI Board Member and Involta CEO, Bruce Lehrman is the featured executive.
“This is an important strategic partnership for us,” said Doug Neumann, interim President & CEO of the Economic Alliance. “Technology Association of Iowa brings a new opportunity for Cedar Rapids business leaders to experience, and we look forward to the innovative and collaborative thinking these TechBrews will offer.”
