Timberline Manufacturing, a Marion based contract manufacturer of electrical sub-assemblies, was awarded state tax incentives today that will support the construction of a new manufacturing facility. The proposed project includes the construction of an 85,000 square foot facility located at 1029 Blairs Ferry Road. The investment would double the company’s production space and capacity. The property is located adjacent to the company’s current headquarters on Lyons Lane in Marion. Total capital investment is anticipated to be $12.8 million.
Earlier today the Iowa Economic Development Authority board awarded the incentives through the High Quality Jobs Program. The expansion is expected to create 56 new jobs over the next three years. Timberline currently has 165 full-time employees in Marion.
“In our 25th year we need to invest, keep ourselves relevant, and continue adding value for our customers and employee-owners,” says Timberline President Greg Ervin. “This project will allow us the efficient space needed to stay competitive and keep expanding our local job offerings.”
