Cedar Rapids Downtown Holiday Décor Gets Even Brighter

Nov 18, 2020

We’re all in need of some holiday cheer this year. Downtown Cedar Rapids aims to provide a bright spot in your 2020, literally, with 100 lighted trees on 1st Avenue to 4th Avenue, including 3rd Street, illuminated skywalks, and a giant lighted evergreen in Green Square. At every turn, major intersections will be full of greenery, garland and bows. Take in the decorated trees and other festive surprises throughout downtown this holiday season.

The Downtown Self-Supported Municipal Improvement District Commission’s holiday décor plan provides placemaking and beautification in Downtown Cedar Rapids, inviting residents and visitors to explore the thriving district full of local shops, restaurants and safe holiday events. Thank you to the many businesses and collaborators partnering to bring warmth and light to our community this season!
