New Businesses Open in the MedQuarter

The MedQuarter Regional Medical District is now home to several new businesses, both medical and non-medical, offering a wider variety of products and services within the District. Learn a little more about each business and what they are bringing to the MedQuarter:

Artisan’s Sanctuary, 1239 1st Avenue SE, Suite 3

Relocated to the MedQuarter from Marion.

The vision of the Artisan’s Sanctuary is to inspire local artists to share their creativity and passion for the visual and performing arts. They hope to provide a safe, secure, and affordable studio space for artists to create and share inspiration. They’re a non-profit, 501c3, gathering space designed to be accessible to the entire community for individual and group projects. Kariden was founded in 2016 by Ashley Higginbottom in Ottumwa, Iowa. The unique company name was inspired by her two children, Kari and Kaden. Throughout the boutique you will find portraits of their family journey. Kariden started off as a wine shop selling various selections of wine, candles, and other accessories back in 2016. Tee’s Liberian Dish, 1271 1st Avenue SE

Having opened on June 17th in the former Brewed Awakenings location, Tee’s Liberian Dish touts itself as “the best and only African food in Cedar Rapids”.
