Buy Give Grow 2021

Local consumers have the power to drive economic growth by supporting local businesses and non-profits. Each dollar spent locally returns an average of three times more to our community than buying elsewhere. Thus, the motivation behind the Economic Alliance’s Buy. Give. Grow. —a “buy local” initiative first launched in 2018 to encourage shoppers to buy and give to local businesses and organization. This year Buy. Give. Grow., presented by GreenState Credit Union, is more important than ever after a challenging year where our community battled a global pandemic and continued its recovery from a natural disaster.

This buy local program brings to center stage locally owned businesses, non-profits and business collaborations that drive our economy. Buy. Give. Grow. offers selected businesses exposure on social media platforms and websites as well as television, newspaper and radio marketing opportunities thanks to our media sponsors.

Buy

“Buy” is all about buying local from one of our many businesses. Dollars spent locally circulate in our community creating a greater place to live and work. Five local businesses will be selected and featured in articles, social media posts and on our website during the holiday season. Local businesses provide value and unique products for consumers while also representing the strength and diversity of our local economy. This program puts a spotlight on some of these businesses.

Give

Local non-profits make up an important part of our community. We will feature five non-profit organizations on our website, in social media posts and in informational articles. Non-profits have a hand in solving some of the most pressing issues in the region and we encourage you to give to local non-profits this holiday season.

Grow

Many businesses grow here through mutually beneficial collaborations and partnerships with other businesses. The supplies and resources businesses are needed for other businesses to continue their day-to-day operations. We will highlight five businesses that offer a product or service that other businesses benefit from and need to operate. Look for articles, social media posts and updates on our website about these businesses that help foster and improve our close-knit, innovative and neighborly local business culture.

The program launches in November 2021 and runs through the holiday season. The list of featured member businesses and organizations will be announced soon. Please continue supporting our beloved local businesses.
