Major Industries in Cedar Rapids

The Cedar Rapids Metro has a rich, proud history of manufacturing and industry.

Several long-established industries have flourished here over the past decades. Many of these industries developed because of local natural resources and because of the strong entrepreneurial DNA of our region’s founders. Innovation, collaboration and a strong business-sense led to many companies getting their start here and then staying here.
