The Leadership for Five Seasons (LFS) Adult Program is a premier leadership program that empowers and inspires diverse individuals to actively lead in shaping and enhancing our quality of life. Leadership for Five Seasons provides equal opportunities to all qualified persons without regard to race, color, creed, age, gender, national origin, ancestry, religion, sexual orientation or disability status.
Graduation from the Leadership for Five Seasons program requires participants to attend at least eight of the ten regular sessions. See below for the program dates. Attendance is mandatory for the Orientation meeting and Retreat and all sessions will be held in-person. If you are unable to make the necessary attendance commitment, you should not apply at this time.
Tuition & Funding
Tuition in the Leadership for the Five Seasons (LFS) Adult Program includes all education, training, food, curriculum tools and assessments (True Colors and Strength Finders), and transportation expenses as well as overnight lodging for the retreat. Participants must furnish and pay for their own transportation to the starting point for each of the day sessions and any parking fees for day Sessions. Tuition of $1,850 for Economic Alliance members is due in full by July 9, 2021. Refund Policy: No tuition refunds are issued unless an alternate candidate is derived from the selection committee process is substituted prior to July 19, 2021.

LFS Scholarship Opportunities
Thanks to LFS Scholarship Sponsors Shive-Hattery and Van Meter, applicants will now be able to apply for the Leadership for Five Seasons Scholarship to eliminate tuition expenses, which can pose as a barrier to entry for some would-be applicants.
- The Shive-Hattery scholarship will sponsor one individual from industries that are historically the most under-represented in the Adult program: self-employed individuals, small businesses and non-profits with limited resources. All applicants are eligible to apply for the scholarship by answering a few additional questions on the application and it will be awarded when the selected class is notified of their acceptance.
- The Van Meter scholarship will sponsor one diverse individual, specifically from an under-represented group such as people of color or those with a diverse background.
The Selection Committee for the Leadership for Five Seasons Adult Program is made up of LFS Alumni and the members are known only to the Program Director. The Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance does not have influence over the selection committee's decisions.
Application will not save if window is closed or if you navigate away from this page. Please have all information at hand in completing this form.
