Black Sheep Social Club is housed in the resurrected, 102 year old Clock House building located at 600 First St SE. The restaurant aspires to create a varied menu of old Midwest favorites with inspired new twists and international influence. The bar has 24 craft beer taps with a focus on regional breweries, an eclectic wine list and a cocktail menu inspired by the kitchen and the garden with nods to the classics. Part of the experience at Black Sheep is the decor, with fire orbs made from steel, a beautiful zinc bar top, hand crafted seating and industrial art work.

Caucho, located in the National Building in the Czech Village/New Bohemia District at 1202 Third St. SE, was opened in January of 2017 by owners Andy and Carrie Schumacher. Inspired by freshly-ground organic masa and the ancient process of nixtamalization, Mexican and Central American flavors dominate the carefully-crafted menu with standout dishes like enchiladas, tamales, chile rellenos and seasonal, street-style tacos. Cobble Hill
Cobble Hill is located at 219 Second St. SE, with a brick front and inviting windows inspired by the streets of Brooklyn, New York. Husband and wife co-owners Andy and Carrie Schumacher drew inspiration from the New York City borough and brought forth their vision to create a unique dining experience in Cedar Rapids. The menu starts with a belief in a better food system and making authentic connections with guests and offer upscale, elevated dishes made with local ingredients like gnocchi and flat iron steak. Cobble Hill focuses on the entire guest experience, including how a guest feels while spending time at the restaurant.

Groundswell Cafe is an initiative of local nonprofit Matthew 25, an organization that focuses on food, housing and education. Groundswell Cafe operates on a pay-it-forward business model, where paying customers can tip or donate money to a fund that pays for people who can’t afford to pay for their meal. Located at 201 Third Avenue SW in the Kingston Village neighborhood of Downtown Cedar Rapids, Groundswell Cafe serves up breakfast and lunch, offering delicious soups, sandwiches and more. The restaurant uses many locally-sourced and organic ingredients to the extent possible, many of which are from Matthew 25’s very own Cultivate Hope Urban Farm.

Jimmy Z's
Jimmy Z's is owned and operated by radio and television personality Jaymz Larson. Jaymz created the restaurant as an ode to radio, television and music. Guitars signed by Stryper, Motley Crue, Poison and Pantera line the walls inside the restaurant's location in Downtown Cedar Rapids at 112 Second St. SE. Check out live music on the weekends and sporting events any day on one of the nine big screen TVs. During their Bacon Happy Hour on Wednesdays between 3 and 7 p.m., customers receive two free pieces of bacon with every purchase. And, of course, don't miss their Taco Tuesdays!

Lion Bridge Brewing Company
Lion Bridge Brewing Company first opened its doors in March 2014. Located at 59 16th Ave. SW in a Nationally Registered historic building in the Czech Village/New Bohemia District, the property housed the first supermarket in Cedar Rapids in 1938, Fritz's Food Market. Now the location boasts a nationally recognized brewery! Lion Bridge's rotating 10-15 beers on tap are all made on-site and have garnered Gold medals at the Great American Beer Festival, the largest and most prestigious beer competition in the United States. The menu offers small plate pairings like hummus, pierogies and soft pretzels, to heartier fare like creatively-built burgers, tacos, fried chicken and more.

Longbranch Hotel & Convention Center
The Longbranch has a long history as a family-owned, western-themed, mid-century supper club restaurant since 1967. Many of the original recipes served at The Longbranch came from family members, friends, and employees. Business was brisk with guests having to wait on many nights up to three hours for a seat. In 1970 an additional dining room was constructed doubling the original seating for dining. Located in Cedar Rapids at 90 Twixt Town Rd. NE, the menu includes dishes featuring local ingredients like Iowa beef, craft cocktails, and house made bread pudding. Their specialty is barbecue ribs.

Nara Thai Cuisine
Nara Thai Cuisine is located at 1725 Blairs Ferry Rd. in Marion. Their authentic Thai cuisine hails from several regions of Thailand, primarily Bangkok and Chiang Mai, and everything is made fresh and from scratch, with many ingredients imported from Thailand. Many meals are gluten-free, with lots of vegetarian options. Co-owner and head chef, Natta Tantipanyathep Thomsen was inspired by her mother's street food stand in Thailand. Natta dreamed of her own restaurant and after meeting her husband Ray, opened Nara, combining their names. Nara is known for their crab rangoons - in fact, many have asked to purchase the recipe, one person even wanted to license it for a restaurant in Dallas, but it remains a family secret.

Popoli Ristorante & Sullivan's Bar is housed in the former People's Savings Bank building in Kingston Village at 101 Third Ave. SW, along the Cedar River. Historic attributes of this Louis Sullivan-designed building that was completed in 1912 were preserved in renovations after the 2008 flood. The architecture above the bar features original, restored artwork by Allen E. Philbrick, and you can even dine inside the original bank vault.
