Iowa City now has a place for board game and card game enthusiasts to gather, play, and grab a bite to eat! As Kiva Iowa borrowers, Peterson and Finn have created a space where everyone—no matter their age or experience level—can feel welcome and have fun. At this session, they’ll share their journey of launching Diversions Gaming Café, the impact of community support, and the role of small business funding in bringing their vision to life.
Attendees will leave with insights into the challenges and rewards of starting a gaming café, an appreciation for the power of local entrepreneurship, and maybe even a new favorite game to check out!
