HER Speak Up! Giving Grace Series Partners: The Gazette and The Restoration Project with Sponsors: Hills Bank and ChopHouse Downtown Gather friends for the HER Speak Up! happy hour series! Hear from community leaders as they share their journey that has led them to success, while offering tools for attendees to apply to their own life goals. A safe place for all people to come together to talk about different topics in the workplace, family life and more. The 2023 series theme Giving Grace will include moderated Q&A from The Restoration Project and featured guests, followed by breakout sessions for small group conversations. Guest Speakers: Laura Janssen Keep moving forward. No matter how slow, forward is forward. Laura Janssen is the Community Outreach and Special Events Coordinator for KCRG-TV9 in Cedar Rapids. She is a huge animal lover, a coffee addict, and a mental health advocate. Laura is on the board of NAMI Linn County and is an open book about her own experiences with grief, trauma, loss, and mental illness, to help others understand that “it’s okay to not be okay”. Tabbatha Strong Shame Ultimately Holds You Back… Tabbatha Strong is the host of a local Podcast; Deck Diaries. Tabbatha has made it her purpose in this life to allow other humans a safe place to speak their truths, learn to let go of shame and live a happy, healthy, unfiltered life.
