Vendor Application Process

Vendor applications for the 2018 Market After Dark, presented by VanDerGinst Law, will be available HERE no later than Jan. 8. Vendors should apply by April 30 for first consideration of booth space.

Before applying to Market After Dark, please review the Vendor Handbook for vendor fees, policies and procedures.

To review your application at any time after applying, please visit www.managemymarket.com and enter the email and password you used during the initial application process.

Market After Dark does not provide vending space to non-profit organizations or political candidates at this time. For additional information on how these groups can participate, check out Get Involved or email events@cedarrapids.org.

FAQs

How much is a Market After Dark stall?

You can lease a stall (with vehicle) for $100. This does not include any additional fees. Additional fees are outlined in the Market After Dark Vendor Handbook.

What is the selection process?

The Market After Dark Selection Committee will review applications continuously until April 30, with the goal of notifying vendors of their status the second week of May.

Vendors applying after April 30 will be notified of their application status as soon as possible.

How are vendors selected?

While type of product and product quality are of the utmost importance to our Selection Committee, there are a few other things to consider when applying:

- Complete & Updated Information- Your profile should have the correct information: business name, mailing address & email address.

- Correct Category- Make sure the business category you select reflects your primary products. For example, while you may sell a few tomatoes, if the majority of your products are scarves, please make sure to select "Artisan - Jewelry & Accessories" rather than "Produce & Flowers" when applying.

- Accurate Product List- Make sure your list is up-to-date and accurate. For instance, "Baked Goods" as a product isn't as helpful as "pies" and a list of flavors, and "cookies" with several varieties listed.

- Photos- This can make or break an application. Provide several photos of your products! Additionally, photos of your booth display are not mandatory, but suggested. For Market After Dark, photos of your display at night, including lighting, is also helpful.

I'm not like your other vendors. How do I fit into Market After Dark?

Please review the Vendor Handbook for information about franchise businesses, downtown businesses and sponsors.

If I'm placed on the wait list, when will I be notified of an available stall?

We make every effort to notify vendors as soon as possible when stalls become available. We attempt to fill space with similar types of vendors. For example, if a painter isn't available to fill their stall, we look for a painter on the wait list.
