Allan’s weekend in Cedar Rapids is all about embracing the ICR (Iowa City – Cedar Rapids) region. From scenic drives to Millstream Brewing in the Amana Colonies, to great food and entertainment in Cedar Rapids, he suggests doing it all! And adding a slice or two!

Friday

5:00 p.m.	Head back home from work in Iowa City, taking the scenic drive through Amana to stop at Millstream Brewing Company and pick up some cream soda for the kid and a little something for me.
6:00 p.m.	I’ll check in with the Amana Colonies CVB to see if there is a show or concert tonight and stay for a while!
9:30 p.m.	Head back through downtown Cedar Rapids, and on the way home swing by Need Pizza for a late night slice…and maybe one more slice.

Saturday

9:00 a.m.	Stop at Dash Coffee Roasters on the way to Raygun because one can never have too much coffee or too many snarky t-shirts!
11:30 a.m.	Walk over to the African American Museum of Iowa to see how the remodel is going and then back to Cliff’s Dive Bar & Grill for lunch…or maybe just their pizza roll nachos!
4:30 p.m.	Head back home to enjoy a Shawnniecakes‘ Toffee Butter cookie that I got during the week and have a nap before tonight’s show at the Paramount Theatre!

Sunday

10:00 a.m.	Midtown Station for brunch–I am all in for Station Benedicts!
12:00 p.m.	Then we are off to Brucemore for a self-guided tour of all the seasonal decorations and then to Lindale Mall to finish up the holiday shopping and get some more steps in.
6:00 p.m.	Tomaso’s Pizza and the Tic Toc are on the way home…I don’t know how to decide. I haven’t had anything pizza related since yesterday!
