Christina Springman’s weekend is a festive local adventure, fully embracing the spirit of the holidays. On Friday, she kicks off the festivities by picking up custom holiday greeting cards and securing tickets for a unique Christmas gift at the theater. The evening continues with a magical visit to a holiday light show and a cozy pizza dinner. Saturday unfolds with a family trip to the library, exploring downtown art, and holiday shopping with a screening of Elf. A quick stop for comfy sneakers precedes a delicious supper. Sunday brings energetic fun in the morning, followed by a staff party at the theater, featuring a musical. The day concludes with post-show festivities. It’s a weekend filled with local delights, supporting businesses and enjoying holiday magic.
Pick up holiday greeting cards that I had printed at Adcraft
Buy tickets to “Die Hard is a Christmas Movie- A Parody Musical” at Mirrorbox Theatre for a Christmas gift for my husband.
Then we’ll order pizza from Tomaso’s or Need… depending on the style we’re looking for that day.
We love taking the kids to the Cedar Rapids Public Library on Saturdays. They often have a fun event going on and we love coffee and cookies from Roasters. This weekend we’ll see Merry Tuba Christmas at the Downtown Library
