Join Hiawatha area businesses for a morning of networking and education! This informal gathering, hosted at a local business, provides attendees the opportunity to develop new contacts, enjoy a light breakfast and learn more about a topic of interest to Hiawatha businesses.
Our August session will highlight the Collaborative Growth Initiative, a regional strategy to attract and retain talent. We'll hear from Jodi Schafer, Director of Workforce with the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance. Jodi will share background information for the initiative, the case for change, and new projects underway including a remote worker campaign, early development of a talent attraction website and branding for the region. We’ll also cover efforts to retain new community members and young professionals through development of community champion and welcome programs and ongoing retention programming.
Presented in partnership by the Hiawatha Economic Development Corporation, the City of Hiawatha, and the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance.
