A Workforce Pipeline Just for You

Having access to quality workforce resources can be an instrumental benefit to future business success. That’s why the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance (Economic Alliance) and Iowa City Area Development Group (ICAD) created the ICR Talent Hub. This tool gives Economic Alliance members access to a direct workforce pipeline with a diverse selection of professionals interested in new career opportunities within the Iowa City-Cedar Rapids area.
“When a company has an open position, I want the Talent Hub to be a part of their process in filling that role,” said Laura Seyfer, Workforce Specialist at the Economic Alliance. “This resource gives businesses access to vetted candidate resumes and phone call report-outs conducted by our Talent Hub Connector, Shannon Hanson.”
Members can designate employees within their organization to receive bi-weekly email updates that include a candidate list. This list can be organized by profession to make finding a specific need easy. Employers can view basic contact information about candidates so they can reach out personally. Talent Hub gives employers access to the resumes and LinkedIn profiles provided by the candidates. There is also a focus on creating an effective and personalized experience for everyone involved, and so far, members actively using the ICR Talent Hub have enjoyed the process and found new employees.
The Talent Hub has invested in making the platform a one-stop-shop for businesses to search for specialized talent for their organizational needs. In addition to having access to hundreds of potential applicants, businesses also have access to connect with the Talent Hub team, which includes Shannon Hanson and staff from the Economic Alliance and ICAD.
