When American Profol first opened its doors in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in 1992, it became the second official business location for our parent organization, Profol Kunststoffe GmbH. Based in Germany and opened in 1980, the Profol Group initially started its polypropylene business as a primary support for the office products industry. Today, however, cast polypropylene goes into more than just supplies used at the office. It is an important component for a constantly increasing list of commercial products and everyday items—from flexible packaging to printed banners to household furniture.
