Planting with a Purpose

Join ImpactCR on the afternoon of June 5th to get your hands dirty with Feed Iowa First on their farm in Wanatee Park (formerly Squaw Creek Park). We will be planting culturally specific crops on their farm that will be harvested and shared with families in our community. After our hard work, we will enjoy a beverage at Big Grove Brewery in downtown CR. 

• Remember to dress appropriately for the weather and activity (i.e. gardening shoes, sunscreen, hat etc.)
• Water bottles will be provided

3:00-4:30 -  planting/volunteering with Feed Iowa First
5:00-6:00 - Refreshments at Big Grove Brewery (170 1st St SW, Cedar Rapids)

This is a great opportunity to utilize that VTO (volunteer time off) benefit you have through your employer. Get a group of your co-workers together and sign up for this impactful volunteer experience.
