Water Babies Cedar Rapids Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting

Water Babies Cedar Rapids is celebrating their grand opening with a Ribbon Cutting at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, September 28th. Directly following the ribbon cutting, we invite everyone to stay for a brief demonstration infant class from 4:30-5:00 p.m. The pool area is very hot and humid, please dress accordingly. We are thrilled to invite you to celebrate a major business milestone in our community. Please join us for the official grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for Water Babies Cedar Rapids! Founded in the UK in 2002, Water Babies is the world’s leading infant swim school network, teaching more than 80,000 children globally each year. Our new Cedar Rapids location is incredibly historic, marking one of the very first 10 franchises to open across the entire United States. As a mother of two boys, the driving force behind bringing this program to our area stems from a deeply personal place. Seeing firsthand how quickly children grow—and how vital early water safety is—inspired me to ensure local families have access to this life-saving curriculum. Operating out of the Radisson Hotel Cedar Rapids Pool, our highly trained instructors provide a gentle, structured, and child-led program that builds critical safety skills and water confidence right from birth. This early foundation is essential, especially since drowning remains a leading cause of accidental death for young children. Directly following the ribbon cutting, we invite everyone to stay for a brief demonstration infant class. This is a wonderful opportunity to see our specialized teaching methods and gentle approach in action! We would be honored to have the Economic Alliance Ambassadors stand alongside us as we celebrate this exciting global expansion right here in Cedar Rapids.
