Your voice matters

We are your advocates

The Economic Alliance is a non-partisan organization that advocates for pro-business and economic growth policies on local, state and federal levels. We listen to the concerns of our members and together with our stakeholders, we develop public policy strategies that address business and workforce challenges, support businesses of all sizes and types, and promote robust and welcoming communities.

We’ve join forces with Greater Iowa City and combined our 2,000+ members, partners and community stakeholders to develop comprehensive state and federal public policy agendas and advocate with one voice for the region.

We encourage civility

We work to find bipartisan solutions and encourage elected officials to collaborate and focus on serving our communities. We strongly support First Amendment rights and advocate for civil debate among elected officials, candidates and citizens. We are committed to leading by example.

“I find the Economic Alliance’s legislative updates extremely useful as they synthesize the issues I care about, their progress, and what we, as business members, can do to help our interests. It’s short, sweet, and to the point, but informs us of the critical points and their impact.”

Anne Roth

“Thanks to you and all of your great staff for the well-planned day at the Capitol. The more they hear from us, the better the chance for resolutions that will benefit all.”

Kay Fisk

I enjoyed mixing with most of the Iowa top-dogs that are shaping the state public policy agenda. It was a night like no other – two economic developments coming together for a common cause.”
