Our people make us great
Employees from more than 200 businesses in the Cedar Rapids region are integrally involved with the Economic Alliance through service on our councils, boards and committees. As a membership organization, we love that kind of expansive participation across so many area employers. We couldn’t do what we do without all the leaders in our community who guide us, volunteer for us, and contribute in many ways to our organization.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors sets policy, provides direction to our organization and oversees the budget.

The Large Investor Council consists of representatives from organizations in the top investment levels at the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance.

Business Support Innovation Council
The Business Support Innovation Council offers guidance and ideas on supporting employers through networking, business support programs, initiatives and professional development programs. This council focuses on our core function of Business Support and is dedicated to economic growth and business success, particularly of small and locally owned businesses.
Community Development Innovation Council
The Community Development Innovation Council focuses on the core function of Community Development, which grows core central districts in Cedar Rapids and supports surrounding communities. The council works to implement strategic plans for core districts, and also to inform and educate businesses in the Cedar Rapids region.
Economic Development Innovation Council
The Economic Development Innovation Council focuses on our core functions of Economic Development and Workforce. This council provides strategic direction on business attraction, existing business expansion and workforce strategies for companies in the Cedar Rapids region.
Workforce Innovation Council
The Workforce Innovation Council brings together city and community leaders from business, education, and workforce development to guide talent attraction for the Cedar Rapids region, position it as a destination for skilled professionals, and foster programs to attract and retain top talent. The council will advise on marketing, enhancing the talent pipeline, and aligning workforce initiatives with regional needs to support long-term economic growth.
