Voter Resources

Voting is an opportunity to have a voice in the leadership and public policy decisions that shape our communities, our state and our economy.

The Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance created the 2026 Business Voter Guide to give our members and their employees a convenient, nonpartisan resource for learning more about the candidates and issues on the ballot and finding the information they need to vote.

The Economic Alliance believes in an informed and engaged business community and in the importance of collaboration and solution-oriented leadership at all levels of government.

What You’ll Find in the Guide

Meet the Candidates
Learn more about candidates for Governor, U.S. Senate, U.S. House – 2nd District, Iowa Senate and Iowa House. Each candidate was invited to provide information about themselves and respond to the same four questions focused on Iowa’s economy, collaboration and leadership, opportunities and challenges ahead, and engagement with the business community.

Watch the Candidate Forums
View videos from the Economic Alliance’s 2026 Candidate Forum Series and hear directly from participating candidates about issues important to our region.

Understand the Ballot Measures
Review brief, nonpartisan summaries of the three ballot measures, including what a YES or NO vote means. In particular, you learn about Public Measure D, the Cedar Rapids fire bond, and the Economic Alliance’s Board of Director’s support of the measure.

Plan Your Vote
Use our Voter Toolbox to find important dates and deadlines, early and absentee voting information, voter registration resources, sample ballots, polling locations and more.
