We create experiences to connect young professionals to people and places in our community.
Siren Wednesdays: These after work socials at Economic Alliance member local bars and restaurants. They occur on the first Wednesday of each month and serve as a way for young professionals to network with each other in a relaxing environment.
BigWig Lunch Talks (BLT): The goal of the BigWig Lunch Talks is to expose young professionals to seasoned professionals and inspirational leaders in the community over the lunch hour. BLTs happen four times annually. Each BLT features one seasoned community leader, who shares their unique leadership story.
All aBoard: This annual event is designed to connect young professionals with organizations in the community that resonate with their passions. Board members from local organizations answer questions and speak with attendees about board involvement.
Leaders Roundtable: One of our most popular events, Leaders Roundtable, brings Corridor leaders together for small group discussions with young professionals. This annual event takes place over the lunch hour at NewBoCo, 415, 12th Ave, Cedar Rapids.
Leadership Workshops: Twice a year ImpactCR offers lunches dedicated leadership discovery. Local professionals discuss leadership principles and best practices for them in everyday situations.
Next Gen. Summit
Each year, we team up with EPIC, with the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce to produce this professional, full-day conference. Next Gen. Summit is designed to inspire, empower and develop young professionals who live and work in the Cedar Rapids Iowa City Corridor.
Next Gen. Summit 2018 will take place in October 2018. Look for a date and registration opening soon!
